I sure hope this is ok with the Lees and my friend, Jennifer Dukes Lee over at http://gettingdownwithjesus.blogspot.com/ Her father in law, Paul is struggling, and so, the family is struggling as well. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue on this journey of love and peace. The following is a partial post from http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/paullee :
The have so much to teach us....even in the midst of pain and sorrow and suffering, they have kept their eyes on God and not wavered in their faith and in their knowledge of the truth:"God is Good". Love and prayers go out to you, Jennifer, and to your whole family. Just to let you know, this prayer chain is growing by the minute. My post today is featured on high callings blog under family! The warriors are out tonight!http://highcallingblogs.com/network/family/
"Paul came home to the farm last night.
Paul, his family and a capable team of doctors have determined that it no longer makes sense to fight the two diseases in his body -- the fungus and the leukemia. He will, instead, enjoy some time at home, making memories with family and good friends. He will be under the care of nurses who will help control his pain. He is feeling pretty good right now, and we are thankful for that. It is best for Paul to come home. At the farm, he will be treated for any pain he is experiencing, find the rest he needs and enjoy some of the things he loves best. Please know that all of us have peace with this decision. We have felt and continue to feel the power of your prayers. Please continue to pray. We ask for prayers for healing, for miracles, for controlled pain, and for Paul to enjoy each day to the fullest. Really, that is what life is all about. Jesus says in John 10:10 that He came down to Earth "so that we may have life, and have it to the full." He didn't say we wouldn't suffer in this life, but He did promise to stand with us in our storms.Paul is feeling quite good now, and is happy to be home. We anticipate some good days ahead where we can sit, talk, laugh, reminisce and count our many blessings.Even in the midst of suffering and trial, we know this truth: God is good.
Love, the Lees"

With tears running down my cheeks, I want to tell you how touched I am that you would post this on behalf of our family.
God bless you and your readers for your prayers. ... I'm speechless at this act of kindness you have shown us tonight, Carol.
Love you!
Praying with you Carol.
Yes, our family has been praying as well Carol. It's all very sad to me, but I'm praying for a miracle.
Prayers for a family I've never met, though it feels like I have...
Just prayed for them Carol, thanks for letting us know.
Carol, I had a holy ground moment yesterday afternoon after visiting with the Lee family. Guess where I was??? Yes! At the river, headed into SD!
What a sweet gift from God.
Rarely a second goes by that God does not hear my groans on their behalf. I sometimes have words, other times it is just jibberish, but He knows the depth of our love for the Lee's and is interceding on our behalf with His father - our father!
Thanks for your prayers, too, Carol!
