You were my mother and my friend,
Which was unusual.
Somehow our characters still blend:
Your wisdom and my will.
I turned, and you were there for me;
I spoke, you understood.
I felt cared for, but also free;
You loved, and I was good.
I'm fortunate that I was born
To someone just like you;
I love you still.
Though you are gone, you live on in what I do. I have been told I look like you...more every day. I always thought you were so pretty, so that is nice. You had the nicest skin, always wore your coral lipstick and always had your hair combed. I can not say I ALWAYS anything, except I will ALWAYS love you.
Happy Mother's Day, Mom. I know you have just gone to pick another flower. I love you forever-Can't wait to see you again.
Now, excuse me please, I am going to my "missing place", courtesy of my friend, Kelly at http://sufficientgrace-kelly.blogspot.com/. I love her blog verse too! "Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. Psalm 126:5. Aren't we blessed that "He sees every single tear ?"
