Peace

I have had the pleasure of visiting Mary Jane a couple of times this week. I am helping her with a project. On my first visit, she was up and at it and delving deep into her family history-something important to her that she would like to leave with her family. It was so interesting! She asked me to stop by the next night. She was ready for me, but she was feeling pretty punk! She had found this picture of herself and her husband, Don, that I should use for this project of hers. This photo was taken just a couple of weeks ago. They were able to travel to Deadwood to see their daughter, Jennifer get married. While they were with their family and friends, they also celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Don't they look wonderful? They came to church the Sunday following the wedding and she asked Pastor Don if she could speak. He brought the microphone to her seat and she gave an awesome testimony about the miracle she had witnessed that weekend. She had been feeling quite ill for quite some time, usually staying in bed most of the day. She went on to say that she had "witnessed a miracle" as she was able to get up, and sit up in the car the entire trip to Deadwood. She had a very eventful weekend with family and friends and she continued to feel well enough to ejoy all of the events. She returned the very same way...."actually sitting up, not lying down in the car". She thanked her church friends and all the other family and friends for praying for her. We have seen a miracle in Mary Jane.
She also gave me this card to use in her "project":

Mary Jane is such a role model for so many of her friends and family. I told her that, and she said, "I don't try to be. I am just doing what anyone in my position would do." I very much doubt that. A friend called me tonight and said of Mary Jane, "When you go visit her, you leave so uplifted"!
She is a very special lady. She is on a journey. She is convicted. She is confident. She is willing. She is believing. She is steadfast. She is planning. She is preparing. She is amazing.

She does not ask to be delivered from cancer. She does not want anyone to ever say, "she has won the battle". All she has ever asked of us is to pray for her pain management and her peace.

Thank you, Mary Jane, for what you mean to me, for what you have taught me, for what you have shown me. I will pray for your peace, but from what I have witnessed, peace is within you, peace is around you. I am so honored to be called upon to be of help to you!

Mary Jane...waiting for the call....ready for her journey. "The seeds of her faith, planted in prayer, will bring forth life, and grow into fruit that is eternal." -Stormie Omartian
