Spring (Summer) Fever

"That beautiful season the Summer! Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light;
and the landscape Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood." -

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Fun times at the lake

So, when will we have our nice weather back? We have really been teased and taunted here in the midwest. Blizzard one day, heat wave the next. Snow one day, complete soupy mud the next. I guess I can't complain. God could have just kept the snow and ice going all the time with no glimpses of the sun, but "God is good, all the time". I thank God for Stephanie's good medical report following her surgery. I thank God for my family and my health. I have so many great pictures of the twins from last summer. I enjoy looking at them and remembering the fun times at the Lake. I thank God for rest and renewal and I thank God for the beauty that is summer.

Enjoy these memories with me and remember, summer is not that far away. We can make it!

Oh, my! How this makes my heart ache for summer again! But oh, how the joy of the LORD can burn in our hearts -- even on the coldest, dreariest of days!

We just returned from Florida. A lovely time, filled with wonder. But good to be home -- even with ice-covered windows. :-)

Love ya!

I'm holding on for summer myself! Would even settle for some consistent spring-time goodness! It will come...and it will be glorious. I love summer...can't wait! Great pictures!

Carol, I love your pictures! Those would warm anyone up.

In "these parts" the long cold winter can really do a number on a person's spirit can't it? It's getting about that time now...

But in a few weeks, or maybe a few more, we'll see that first robin and be reminded that God's mercies are new every SPRING!

Carol-the picture of the twins at the fair with the post "been farming long" was so cute. Just like the original poster that was out several years back. You have a darling family!
