"Toward the Light"

My newest painting,"Toward the light". I have had a few extra minutes in my day thanks to my student teacher,Kelly, taking over most of the classes. She calls it some "Carol time". I think I like it a bit too much. She will be leaving me in a couple of weeks. I will miss her and that "Carol time" I have been enjoying. Hope you enjoy the beauty I have within me, given to me my the "Artist of my Soul". Can anyone help me find the sheet music, accompanyment tape or CD for that song, "Artist of my Soul" by Sandi Patty? I heard her sing it live at Women of Faith. I purchased her CD, but I really, really need to sing that song, so any kind of accompanyment or sheet music would be GREAT!!! I have checked everywhere I know and can not find it.
It is my PERFECT song!!! Thank you, Diane, for finding the words:

"Oh Lord of light, of form and hue, Who has created all things new,
Create in me, from shapeless clay, an instrument on which you play.
God of the dance that planets tread, Who walks beside and soars ahead,
O let me move to worship Thee; come, Holy Spirit dance with me.
God of the Living Word, Poet of Time,
teach me Your words in Your cadence and rhyme.
O Lord of beauty, Lord of art, Who gives a song for every heart,
carve out my life, reshape and mold, and be the artist of my soul.
Teach me Your words in Your cadence and rhyme.
O Lord of beauty, Lord of art, Who gives a song for every heart,
carve out my life, reshape and mold;and be the artist of my soul."

Aren't they just me????

Your painting is beautiful! And the song, as well...thank you for sharing it. I am so sorry for the loss of your mom...but grateful that she is in perfect peace in the arms of our Savior. The part of the poem I shared at the end of my post was actually written two years before mom went home to heaven. I gave it to her the Christmas of 2004. If you would like to read the entire poem, you can find it in this post: http://sufficientgrace-kelly.blogspot.com/2008/10/missing-her.html

Blessings,
Kelly

Carol,

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my blog! It is so nice to "meet" you. Your artwork is just gorgeous...and from what I've read on your blog, it looks like your gift overflows from a beautiful heart. I'm so glad the Lord carried your family through your mother's illness and passing and through the health concerns you faced with your twin grandbabies and their healing. He is good...and He is faithful to provide His sufficient grace for each day of our lives. I read of the freedom you have experienced from the weight battle...and could just hear the sweet freedom in every word. Your heart as you plant seeds of faith into the little hearts in your Sunday School class was evident as well. I have been blessed to teach the little ones at church, as well. And
currently my husband and I help
lead junior worship/praise time at our church. (I sing...he plays guitar!)I taught preschool and currently work one-on-one with special needs children at our local elementary school. But eventually, I would love to serve full time in our ministry (Sufficient Grace Ministries) and give up my day job. Thank you so much for sharing your heart. I have thoroughly enjoyed my visit to your blog. I am blown away by the beauty of your gift.

Many Blessings,
Kelly Gerken
