For Everything There is a Season

I recently finished this mural for a friend of mine. Her daughter is going to be in high school next year, and is moving to a basement room which will allow for much more privacy. She chose this mural and I whipped it up last weekend. It is making me even more ready for summer! I thank the Lord for the changing seasons. "For everything there is a season"... this is a time for renewal, new life, growth, happiness, sunshine, flowers, more time to play with the grandkids....what more could we wish for? We are so blessed

Summer Morning

by Rachel Field

I saw dawn creep across the sky,
And all the gulls go flying by.
I saw the sea put on its dress
Of blue midsummer loveliness,
And heard the trees begin to stir
Green arms of pine and juniper.
I heard the wind call out and say:
“Get up, my dear, it is today!”

Wow! I'd love to "whip something up" like that. So glad God has gifted you in this way. Incredible. ...

I, too, am looking forward to the hope of spring and summer and all good things!

Carol,
This is one of my favorite ones you've done, if it's even possible to pick any favorites among all the murals you've done! You need to talk to the area towns and do some outside murals for them. Maybe get in on the Rock Rapids mural list and paint during their Heritage Days celebration somewhere? There's got to be a grant possibility out there somewhere for an Iowa Arts grant to pay for your supplies, time and talent? Make a proposal to city hall!
